Happy belated 4th! It feels strange that it’s already Wednesday.
I have rekindled an appreciation for a wine I tried back in March and really enjoyed, but then drank it again in April and eh, not so much. Then on Monday with the weather a perfect 75 degrees and the hubby grilling some lemon chicken kebobs, I cracked this bottle open for another try and was so happy to taste the wine I originally enjoyed.
As the name indicates, this Chardonnay smells just like the comforting warmth of walking into a bakery. It’s creamy, lemony and has that custard taste that reminds me of the filling inside the eclairs that Grandma Cavallari used to bake for us on the 4th of July each year. So yummy!
My only suggestion is to sip this on a warm day. It definitely brings out the flavors of the wine more. Pair it with chicken, fish or sharp white cheddar cheese. It’s a very versatile wine to drink with foods. It retails for about $14 at your local wine store.
