Isn’t this bottle beautiful? Wait, check out the bottom.
Rose is definitely having a moment. It’s a wine that pairs well with the hot summer months and the food that usually accompanies it. This wine will never be a serious, pretentious sipper. It’s light, like cotton candy and reminds me of a curvy, feminine icon like Marilyn Monroe. I’m more of an Audrey Hepburn fan, myself, but under the right circumstances I could enjoy drinking this wine. After all, you can’t rule out a fun glass of pure pink every now and then.
This wine is made from Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes that are harvested in the Languedoc appellation of France right along the Mediterranean and stretches along the border of Spain.
When poured in a glass, the color is like pink bubblegum. You will taste floral notes such as rose petals, some grapefruit and a light tangy finish. Try pairing it with seafood or a salad over lunch.
This is a great, everyday wine to break open when the weather heats up. The bottle is so pretty you could save it and add epsom salts or bubble bath to display in your bathroom. You can find it at your local wineshop or Cost Plus World Market for about $18. Hint: It would make a great addition to your Mother’s Day gifts too.
Thank you Deb for sharing this fun, feminine wine with me. 🙂
