I like to read, cook, bake, decorate, travel and most of all hang out with my husband and two daughters as well as my family and friends. Red Typewriter, an online magazine, recently added me to their team of contributing writers. Check out some of our latest articles that range from sharing great ideas to sparking some interesting conversation at your next social gathering.
This blog is meant to cover topics ranging from goodies to make in the kitchen to our latest home remodel project. I might also sprinkle in a little bit of travel and fun activities with the kiddos. My hope is that these will inspire you to try a recipe, project or maybe travel someplace exotic yourself.
The title of my homepage refers to my heritage (as you can probably guess, Scottish) and a wonderful yet short-lived time in my life when I lived abroad in Scotland for a semester. Ahhh, to be young and carefree like that again. I wanted to choose a unique blog name so when I was mentioning ideas to my husband I suddenly blurted out, “Home is where the haggis is,” and my husband responded, “That’s it!”
The saying below my blog title, “Failin’ Means Yer Playin'” translates to mean that when you fail at something at least you’re trying. Not to say that I want to fail, but if a recipe or project turns out badly or there’s a few hiccups along the way I plan to share that with you as well instead of sugarcoating it. Oh, and for the record, I have never actually made haggis at home, although maybe someday…
Thanks for checking out my posts.
